[...] The Poetry of Social Networking to Court Customers and Invest in Relationships (Brian Solis): Brian Solis shares his foreword to Sean Percival’s book, MySpace Marketing. In it, he offers some thought-provoking insights into what must be understood before going into social media marketing. And… Brian Solis is the most eloquent writer I have ever seen in the blogosphere. This post is really poetry, as are all his other writings and blog posts.
You discuss the benefits of social networking for the business world. As an educator, I am even more convinced that we need to begin teaching children about social networking, digital citizenship, and the appropriate ways to "market" themselves before they make the mistakes that we often see and hear about with young children and teens (posting of inappropraite language, photos, etc.) Unfortunately, many districts still do not allow networking and many adults (teachers and parents) are still unfamiliar with such sites as MySpace, Facebook, collaborate work spaces, or other networking areas. When a connection is made to the business world, perhaps then the need to educate children in the area of social networking might be taken more seriously. Thanks!

eZanga’s social network, HopOnThis.com has refreshed the way they distribute content, and added a way to build and maintain relationships along with expanding your online community. They reward registered users with points to use toward cash and prizes just for interacting on the site. Some of the ways to earn points are: updating a blog, inviting a friend, and adding a picture. They also offer features such as page personalization, drag-and-drop features, unlimited space for photos, and much more. HopOnThis offers a productive social experience, while adding to the strength of advertiser’s campaigns.
