It is with great pleasure that I share with you the details of my next book published again by Wiley, What’s the Future of Business: Changing the way businesses create experiences. The book debut at SXSW on March 8th and will be officially available in stores on March 11th.
What’s the Future of Business is not a question. It’s an answer.
Frank Eliason and I have known each other for many years. We’ve shared the stage on many occasions, he’s made an appearance on Revolution, and most importantly, I’m proud to call him a personal friend. Frank has championed the adaption and transformation of customer service during his time at Comcast and at CITI. Never one to shy away from sharing his opinions, he’s certainly bullish on where service needs to be as a function and a philosophy versus where it is today. In fact, he’s gone so far as to call out social media customer service as being a “failure” in its current state.
I can’t believe that The End of Business as Usual is now officially available. To celebrate, I’d like to share the words of those who helped support its launch. First up is Mark Cuban, someone whom I greatly respect and someone who has shown that vision, passion, hard work and taking risks are the keys to unlock success – however you define it.
Earlier this year, I announced that I was writing another book. I left clues here and there, but I had yet to officially announce the title or the focus of the book. The truth is that I didn’t want to give readers of Engage 2 the impression that I was ready to move on.
So finally, it is with great pleasure that I share with you the name and also the semi-final draft of the book’s cover.
If you’re wondering why you are seeing a few more guest posts or shorter posts than usual, there’s a reason.
The next chapters in this incredible adventure are soon to unfold. Within the next few weeks, I’ll share some special news about Engage…on 3/7/11. But, before then, I would like to let you in on a little secret. I’ve already started writing my next book.
I’m truly excited to share a bit of news with you…
While this isn’t the formal launch of my new book, today represents a significant milestone for me.
As of today, Engage is available for pre-order on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, and Borders, with shipments expected to arrive sometime in mid-to-late February. Other sites will go live soon.
