USA TODAY: Lyft looks to lift from Uber controversy

USA TODAY’s Jefferson Graham interviewed Brian Solis to get his views on whether #UBERGATE would give Lyft a lift. Brian explained that while Uber projects itself as an aggressive, combative force to take on taxi unions and city governments in making its alternative service available, Lyft is “super friendly and warming” in its approach, says Brian Solis, an analyst with the Altimeter Group.

It won’t catch up to Uber, which is valued at $30 billion, but it will get it to profitability by appealing to pro-socially conscious consumers, says Solis. Lyft is valued at $700 million.
